Hetton le Hill Community Golf Club
Hetton le Hill Community Golf ClubAbout Us
Hetton le Hill Community Golf Club is based near Easington Lane County Durham.

We are focused on providing access to the sport of golf for members of the local community and whilst we are a small and very friendly golf club we still offer the facilities you would expect from larger clubs including regular competitions, an official CONGU handicap system and full clubhouse facilities.
The condition of the course has improved dramatically over recent years and is now comparable to many private clubs in the area so don’t listen to the rumours about the Elemore of old come along and find out for your self. Better still become a member of Hetton le Hill Community Golf Club and enjoy all the benefits of this friendly club.
The Course which was designed by John Gaunt is acknowledged to have one of the best layouts in County Durham with an excellent variety of holes, features and hazards including the signature 12th hole which is played over the smaller of our two water hazards. The water hazards are also home to our Swans, the inspiration for our club emblem. The course offers a rigorous test of golf for high and low handicappers alike while still being enjoyable to play for all standards of golfer.
In addition to the club competitions the men have two teams in the superb Prince Bishop League where we compete against other clubs in the East Durham Golfing Community. The league is a handicap league so it is for all members, not just the golfing elite. Competition for spots on the team is keenly contested but we can usually find a way to accommodate anyone interested in playing this exciting and friendly format.
As well as the Men’s section who hold competitions every Sunday we have a thriving Senior Section who meet every Tuesday and Thursday and a very well supported Ladies Section who have their own competition fixtures. We have some very good Junior players and are looking to expand this Section to include more regular Junior Competitions.
